“We had an absolutely amazing time in Provence and the Loire Valley thanks to Nora and Tristan! This was our 2nd trip with them and both times they have planned wonderful stays and wine tastings that suited our tastes. This year especially in Provence since we were able to meet with both of them. Another highlight was wine tasting with Tristan with a view of the Mediterranean. We cannot thank Odyssee enough for all of their thoughtful efforts on our behalf! We are already planning next year’s trip.”

“We spent 3 days with Nora visiting 6 vineyards, touring the wine making facilities and fields. First of all, Nora is delightful company and we had a great time while driving from location to location. The choices for lunch were terrific: we especially enjoyed the lunch at a seafood restaurant. The vineyards followed bio dynamic practices which was very interesting to hear about. All in all we had a wonderful time and heartily recommend Odyssee Tours.”

“We planned a three-week trip through France to celebrate our wedding and honeymoon. Out of countless touring services, we settled on three candidate companies. During the interview process over Zoom, we found Nora and Tristan to be forthcoming and transparent, describing an approach to wine touring that matched what we were looking for- variety and authenticity, with a reasonable pace to keep the journey fun and relaxed. They shared expert opinions but were clear that they had our interests at heart. Their quote and proposal for three days in Bordeaux and two in Burgundy solidified that Odyssée was the choice for us. During the pre-planning process, we had multiple opportunities to video conference and were in regular email contact. Any questions we had were always well understood, thoughtfully considered, and handled promptly. Just as importantly, if we had suggestions- say, for a specific restaurant between tours- Nora and Tristan easily accommodated. We also learned about their extensive network of resources in the French wine industry as well as their local contacts who could give honest suggestions. In short, they had our total trust and we felt both in complete control while happy to let them handle countless hours of research, logistics planning, and reservations. Once we arrived at our first destination, Nora checked in to prepare us for our tours to begin the next day. Each morning we’d receive a note to make sure we were on track and ready for the day’s journeys ahead. As much as we learned from the experts we met on each tour, we learned from Nora. We shared many miles together, Nora gracefully answering all questions from what we were seeing out the window, to wine production processes, to French culture and customs. Throughout the trip, Odyssée surprised us with a number of personal touches. They made calls on our behalf, they learned our preferences and made adaptations on the fly, and they checked in with us regularly- even outside the official touring days. We felt like any time we ran into trouble or needed advice, Nora and Tristan were a text message away to smooth it all over. Thanks to Odyssée, we had the privilege to meet giants in French wine, but also small producers where you could feel their intensity and passion for their craft. We walked in vineyards to touch soil and vines that had been making wine for centuries. We inhaled the intoxicating air of barrel rooms and saw our giddy faces reflected in stainless steel cuve inox. We tasted wines straight from barriques and from bottles cellared for decades. We experienced first-hand the ephemeral French notion of terroir. Nora and Tristan delivered an experience so far beyond our expectations of what wine touring in France could be. When- not if- we return for another adventurous journey in French vineyards, it will be under their guidance. We cannot sing Odyssée’s praises enough. We are, and will always be, eternally grateful for the vintage memories they so enthusiastically helped us make.”
